Excellence in education at every school, every level, must be our priority. NUSD is preparing each and every one of our students for opportunities and fulfillment of their hopes and dreams.

Each student across key educational milestones, from elementary all the way to high school, must find in school a place to connect, learn, and grow.

A focus on kindergarten readiness and third-grade reading for all students seizes the opportunity we have to close the gap for students of color and students of low income. Engaging families, partnering effectively for warm transitions to school, and supporting teachers will get us future ready for all students in our district.

Attracting and retaining teachers requires affordable housing that considers families and access to childcare as foundational to success for students in public school. We want teachers, educators, and their families to have the supports they need to live in Marin.

Centering the diversity of our community and fostering a healthy learning environment are priorities to ensure that schools are safe from classroom to playground.
